Woke up to Zac's phone call today, he said,

Zac - "Dude what you doing?"

Me - "Still sleeping man. Why?"

Zac - "Wanna follow me send my customers car to service not?"

Me - "What time?"

Zac - "In a while. I'm on the LDP already"

Me - "Fine fine. I go get ready now"

He came and my dad wanted to test drive the Mazda 6 2.5 so he did.

After my dad was done with the car we left to the Glenmarie service center.

Zac bloody hell lied to me. Bastard.

It was about 11 at the time we got there and the car will only be done after lunch which was about 2 something.

What to do right? Had to wait there like assholes.

Fine.

Luckily!

Honda and Hyundai was right next door to Mazda so we went snooping around over there since I've seen and sat in every Mazda there is.

So we checked out the Honda Civic 2.0, City, Accord and the Jazz.

Honda Civic - Overrated, fucking huge ass dashboard ( I can fucking lie down on the dashboard )

Honda City - Like the new design.

Honda Accord - Overrated and over priced.

Honda Jazz - WTF did you guys do to the car man. It's ugly now.

That's about Honda.

So we moved on to Hyundai cuz we wanted to check out the Hyundai Coupe 2008.

Now we knew that the car was an awesome looking car but how did it perform?

So Zac test drove it.
Now this is a beauty ain't it? Well the one Zac test drove and I sat in was in silver. Exterior is already amazing and sporty but with a little aftermarket parts it will be perfect. So I give exterior a 7.5/10. Interior I give it a 6/10 because it was SO SIMPLE! You get in the car and there is the steering wheel and gauges, then there is the CD/Radio player, aircond buttons, temperature control and that is about it! Oh and it is a 4 seater though there was not much room at the back and I'm a shorty ( Yes I admit I'm short so shuddup ) . Leather seats and all but it was just so simple! A lil carbon fibre here and there, change leather seats and a lil here and there would do just nice. Performance wise as said by Zac it is quite responsive. It doesn't give that feel of your neck breaking. Handling is good and it's comfy! Overall we gave the car a 7/10. For a car that is about RM130,000 on the road and with a 2.0 engine, THAT IS GOOD!

So right after that is was about 2 already so the car was done and we headed home!

Mazda Test Drive Carnival

It was awesome. Lined up outside the showroom were the Mazda 5 MPV, Mazda 6 2.5, Mazda 3 2.0, Mazda CX-9 and under the canopy was the Mazda MX5 and the Mazda RX-8.

Mazda 5 MPV
The more practical family car for a family that has little toddlers. An immense amount of space provided and its sliding doors are incredible. When inside the vehicle, you simply pull the lever and it'll just close by itself BUT the best thing about it that it has a sensor in case a child's hand get caught in the middle of it, it will re-open the door and the child's hand won't be harmed!

Mazda 6 2.5 litre

Now I didn't get to test drive the car but I can tell you is that it is an awesome car. Compared to the Honda Civic 2.0 or the Toyota Camry, I would get this car. Now tell me this, who would want to get a car that is so often seen on the road? I mean, unless you really like the car then it's a different story. It's interior is simply perfect. Lined with leather and equipped with a BOSE sound system with sound proofing. It's boot space is HUGE. Let's say you could possibly fit 4 or 5 of me in it.

Mazda 3 2.0 litre sedan
Okay now this car is not as fantastic as the others, it doesn't have leather seats, no BOSE sound system and no paddle shifters. Sad huh? This car is the cheapest Mazda car now but it was made that way to ensure that the middle class people can get a taste out of a Mazda. But it had less stuff. No matter. It still looks like a great car to own and drive.

Mazda CX-9 Crossover
Now this car is a 4.7 litre engine. Big you might say? OF COURSE IT'S BIG! IT'S A BIG CAR! The only problem with this car is that it understeers through corners and is very bouncy. But it has the Active-matic gearbox like every other Mazda car has. But of course this can't be compared to a BMW X5 or even an X6 in terms of handling, comfort, driving sensation and power but it can be compared to the BMW X3 and other classes like it. To me, this looks much better than the X3.


Mazda MX5
Now this car is a beauty, sadly I only got to sit in it stationary. Compared to the older MX5, this one looks much more sexy and looks more of a males car than a females. I'm sure you can see that it also is a convertible. It comes with paddle-shifters and Active-matic gearbox. Now this car isn't about the horsepower it puts out but the sensation of driving it, feeling it's handling and it gives out that certain excitment.

Mazda RX-8 2008
I drove this car. Doesn't it just blow up your mind looking at it? Though it may not look like it, it is a 4 seater. I'm going to telling you first hand experience and it was the best car I have ever driven compared to the Myvi(Automatic, Manual and Modified), Proton Wira Aeroback 1.5(Modified), Honda City i-dsi 1.5(Stock), BMW 525 1989 model(Stock). It beats all of them and surprisingly, it doesn't feel like a Japanese made car at all! It feels like a Continental car instead! 0-160kmh in less than 10 seconds. Believe it, I was there. Now this cars 230 odd horsepower only kicks in after 60kmh. Half paddle until you reach 60, then floor it all down. It really is neck aching this car. The engine sound was stock but sounded like a modified car but only it was a purely smooth engine. This car also hugs onto the road like glue. 160kmh at a corner. Take that.

Test Drive Carnival

I just got off the phone with my baby and put her to bed and it's 12.36 am. Have to wake up at 8 am to follow zac to his test drive carnival at Damansara so I can test drive the new Mazda RX-8. Yes people. Believe it. No money to buy it but at LEAST I can get to drive it!

Yes this is it. The new Mazda RX-8, 1.3 rotary engine. As compared to the older version of the RX-8, for sure the older one looks more of a beauty than this. But whatever it is. It's still an RX-8. Just not as nice. Either way, this RX-8 has a new rotary engine that pumps out 10 extra bhp compared to the older one, has a 6 speed automatic gearbox(don't worry there still is pedal shifters) and its more fuel efficient. As I heard, the initial torque isn't much but its 235 horses really starts pumping out at mid to higher revs but who really cares when it's redline is at 9000 rpm?! So it won't really break your neck. Maybe, just an ache? Also, I've heard that there is a new RX-9 coming out to take over the legendary turbocharged, rotary engined Mazda RX-7. Cool eh?

OH! I'll also be driving the Mazda 6 2.5! You may wonder why Mazda? Well, it's because my brother, Zac, works for Mazda that's why.

Here it is. Now this is a more practical family car. It really is a unique car to look at if taken a more closer look. Eventhough it may look like a very calm and family-like car but the 2.5 version produces 170 horses! Not as much as the RX-8 though but for a car like this? Who would have thought of it right? Now now that's not all. It has a fully leathered interior with an awesome sound system powered by BOSE. Believe me, I've sat in it. It also has a pedal shifter plus a shift-tronic gearbox!

Amazing cars aren't they? Never thought Mazda could come up with them right? Well I'll just have to wait a few more hours and then I'll tell you how it feels like.
